Diary of a Future President (formerly tiled Diary of a Female President) is an American comedy television series created by Ilana Peña. It premiered on Disney+ on January 17, 2020. Gina Rodriguez serves as an executive producer through her company I Can & I Will Productions, which produces the series in association with CBS Studios. Robin Shorr serves as the series showrunner alongside additional executive producers Peña and Emily Gipson.
Summary[]
The series follows Elena, a Cuban-American 12-year-old girl as she navigates through the ups and downs of being a teenager, which set her on the path to becoming the president of the United States. She lives with her older brother, Bobby, and mother, Gabi, who is in the beginnings of a relationship with Sam, a lawyer from her firm. Elena has a strong desire to become a president of the United States, which is made visible through flashforwards to her political campaign.
